LIFE EcoTimberCell project participation in the CLIMATE NEUTRAL FOOD AND WOOD webinar
Next October, the LIFE EcoTimberCell project has the honor of participating as a speaker in the Webinar "Climate neutral food and wood", organized by the Directorate General for Climate Action of the European Commission (DG CLIMA) and the Executive Agency for Small and Medium Enterprises (EASME), which will bring together for the occasion successful LIFE and Horizon 2020 projects in the areas of agriculture, food, forestry and bioeconomy. The four sectors receive financial support for research from both European programs and contribute to the fight against climate change and ensure the proper functioning of the food and wood value chains.

With a view to the European Union initiatives within the framework of the European Green Pact, this meeting of important research projects is planned for October 6th-9th. In addition to sharing the proposal, evolution and results of these projects, the meeting will also allow for a debate on the theme of each of the days: mitigation and adaptation to climate change in agriculture and forestry, sustainable food systems and the mitigation potential of wood products.
During the last day of the event, a day dedicated to the wood sector, the LIFE EcoTimberCell project will take voice, led by the Structural Wood Engineering Platform of the University of Santiago de Compostela (PEMADE) and included within the Climate Action Mitigation Subprogram with the aim of reducing greenhouse gas emissions through innovative solutions of wood construction systems.
