Our designs in the exhibition "Formas propias. Design for Innovation in Galicia"
The exhibition can be visited until 16 December at the Didac Foundation and subsequently in other cities in Galicia.
This morning we were at the presentation of the exhibition "Formas propias. Design for Innovation in Galicia" through which Betanzos HB participates, which showed innovative and sustainable materials it produces (Tablex, densified wood, bioadhesive), as well as EcoTimberCell products. Materials that offer sustainable alternatives to current design materials on the market.
This exhibition is organised by the Axencia Galega de Innovación and the Didac Foundation and will be open to the public at the headquarters of the Didac Foundation (Calle de Pérez Costanti, 12. Santiago de Compostela), where it can be visited until 16 December. Afterwards, it can be visited in different Galician cities. It will show historical designs, plastic and visual reflections on design and sustainability, innovative materials and examples of companies that are committed to innovation with design as the driving force.
The publication ABC-Diseño. Diccionario del diseño y de la innovación de Galicia, which, along the same lines as the exhibition, is a compendium of success stories that represent the best of the talent of Galician design professionals, the experience of companies that incorporate design and natural and sustainable resources and materials. This dictionary, which will be available from tomorrow on the website of the Galician Innovation Agency, is born with 140 references and will grow progressively. Among them is TimberSoul by Cándido Hermida and its innovative and sustainable products in wood, as well as Betanzos HB.

This exhibition and publishing project is part of the Design for Innovation and Sustainability 2024 - Difference Programme, giving continuity to the Xunta's initiatives to recognise and disseminate best practices in the incorporation of design as a tool for innovation and competitiveness.
