Available the conclusions of the webinars: "The forestry sector in Galicia"
Last May we started to organise a series of webinars on the Galician forestry sector, wood and its contribution to climate change, and the work being carried out by LIFE EcoTimberCell.
This workshops are part of the project's working group. After a break during the summer period, they will be held again next autumn.
The first sessions focused on "The Galician forestry sector". With the help of experts, we addressed the situation of wood in Galician forests and the forestry industry in Galicia, and the FSC and PEFC forest certification.
In addition, we had the participation of the LIFE Forest CO2 and LIFE Climark projects that shared with the attendees the work they are developing to mitigate climate change and to put out the value of the ecosystem services provided by sustainable forest management.
To close this topic, we presented the results of the evaluation of the ecosystem services of productive forest systems carried out within the framework of the EcoTimberCell project.
