LIFE EcoTimberCell project partners' meeting : Progress highlighted in the After LIFE Plan
LIFE EcoTimberCell project partners met this week to review the actions carried out in the After LIFE plan, highlighting a continued focus on the promotion and development of sustainable solutions in the timber construction industry.
During the meeting, project technicians highlighted joint efforts to reactivate the production of EcoTimberCell structural systems. These efforts include visits to timber industrialists. In addition, work is being done on the transfer of knowledge for the development of similar products, the creation of university spin-off companies and the integration of results with other projects and related entities.
Betanzos HB's continuous commitment to improving the performance of its TABLEX board was also highlighted, as well as the significant progress in obtaining the CE marking for new laminated and cross-laminated timber products, having already obtained the ETAs (European Technical Assessment) and new EADs (European Assessment Document) are under development.
The meeting also highlighted the dedication of all partners to promote construction with local and certified wood, through new initiatives such as the LIFE Wood for Future project and the Revierte project: Forest bioeconomy and water management as a revitalising force for the reactivation of the forest-based economy.
In summary, the LIFE EcoTimberCell project partners' meeting reflected a strong commitment to the continuation of the project's objectives and results, as well as a proactive approach in promoting sustainable practices in the construction timber industry.
